She was born as a boy named Jacques Charles Dufresnoy, who never felt like a boy. She took the stage name Coccinelle before making it big in the Showbiz and made her debut in 1953 as a trans showgirl at Chez Madame Arthur. She was the first celeb to be widely publicized for her sexual reassignment case in Europe, as she was already popular as a renowned club singer.
