11. Sylvia Rivera
Rivera was a drag queen, who worked for gay liberation and transgender rights. She was one of the founding members for both the Gay Activists Alliance and the Gay Liberation Front. She was also the co-founder of the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR), an organization that helps homeless trans women and drag queens.
