Amanda Lepore was born in New Jersey as male and was called Armand. She always identified herself as a girl and did not understand why her parents dressed her as a boy. After her parents realized the fact about Armand, they withdrew her from school. Finally, she was given female hormone therapy and at the age of 19, she underwent reassignment surgery.

Now, she is a renowned model, singer and performance artist. She became a popular celebrity and has been the Chief of Parade at the 2010 Sydney Lesbian Mardi Gras. She has played wonderful roles in documentaries and films.
Last year in April, she launched her autobiography, “Doll Parts”. The book has a good collection of her photographs clicked by her photographers. She has appeared in well-known fashion magazines, such as Ponytail, French Playboy, TUSH and DAMn. She has also appeared on the cover of Lords of Acid’s 1999 album.
