She got arrested in December 2001 for stealing merchandise worth thousands of dollars from Saks Fifth Avenue. Her behavior could not be justified since she could afford to buy them and the prosecutors said that the employees of the store had time and again witnessed her lifting the goods and it was time they put a stop to it. She was charged for burglary, theft and vandalism. She was fined and had to pay to the store and the court. She paid her fines and since her behavior was good, her felony convictions got reduced.
